Frances Mildred Cronk Gallaghr, 81, IHS at Mediapolis, died at 8:56 a.m. Saturday, July 17, 1999, at Burlington Medical Center. Born May 28, 1918, in Burlington, she was the daughter of Charles Austin and Pauline Dorthea Schlotterbeck Cronk. On Dec. 12, 1936, she married Eugene Albert Gallagher in Monmouth, Ill. He died Jan. 2, 1998. Mrs. Gallagher was a homemaker. She was of the Protestant faith. Survivors include seven daughters, Jeanne H. Bolander of San Antonio, Texas, Delores K. Sattler, Joyce A. Hester, and Mary F. Fanning, all of Burlington, Doris M. Ghrist of Davenport, Linda Brtrand of Huntsville, Ala., and Susan L. Philpott of West Burlington; 18 grandchildren; 25 great- grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; one sister, Catherine Bliss of West Burlington; and one brother, Robert Cronk of Las Vegas. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by two daughters, one grandson, and two sisters. Visitation will begin after 8 a.m. Tuesday in Prugh's Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. The funeral for Mrs. Gallagher will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Prugh's Chapel, with the Rev. Gary Biggs officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery. A memorial has been established.
