Ruth Charlotte Anderson, 74, 2143 South Central St., Burlington, died at 3:20 p.m. Tuesday, June 6, 1995, at Burlingotn Medical Center. Born Aug. 3, 1920, in Storm Lake, she was the daughter of Conrad Swanson and Judith Lindquist. On May 4, 1947, she married Clarence Anderson in Burlington. Mrs. Anderson worked for U.S. Borax for 4 1/2 years, before she retired in 1976.
She was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church, Ladies Aid and Mary Elizabeth Group Circles.
Survivors include her husband; eight sisters, Helen Hires of West Burlington, Marian Anderson of Mount Pleasant. Margaret Huisman of Elmwood, Judi Snyder and Evangeline Savage, both of Burlington, Doris Anderson and GLoria DeLahmutt, both of Burlington, Doris Anderson and Gloria DeLashmutt, both of Davenport, Bonnie Anker of Chicago, Ill.; and two brothers, Donald Swanson of New London, and Everett Swanson of Los Angeles, Calif.
She was preceded in death by her parents. The visitation will be after 8 a.m. today at Lunning Chapel where the family will receive friends between 7 and 8:30 p.m.
The funeral will be 10:30 a.m. at Messiah Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Donald Hoornstra officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery. A memorial has been established for Messiah Lutheran Church.
