Shirley Ann Hand, 75, of Belton, Missouri died Saturday, Dec. 1, 2012. Shirley was born June 2, 1937 in Burlington, Iowa to Russell and Anna Johnsen Fouts. She was a member of the First Christian Church, Disciples of Christ, in Burlington, Iowa. Shirley worked as an Assembler for IRC, in customer service for Champion Products and retired from Food Service for HyVee in Burlington. She loved the Chicago Bears, crocheting, reading, TV and word search. Shirley enjoyed attending her grandkids activities. She is survived by two sons, David (Cindy) Hand of Raytown Missouri and Craig (Sherrie) Hand of Belton Missouri; one sister, Sharon Caldwell of Burlington Iowa; 7 grandchildren Wayann, Tyler, Todd, Travis, Cody, Jake and Caden Hand; 6 great-grandchildren; 2 nieces and 1 nephew. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank R. Hand in 1991, James Hand in 2001 and 2 infants, Jeff and Diana. Visitation will be held from 6-8 pm Wed. Dec. 5 at McGilley & George Funeral Home in Belton, Missouri. Graveside services will be held at 3 pm Dec. 7 in Aspen Grove Cemetery, Burlington, Iowa. Guests are requested to meet at the Sunnyside entrance of Aspen Grove prior to the service for a procession to the gravesite. Contributions are suggested for American Heart Association.
