Albert "Andy" Edward Anderson, 74, of Burlington, died at 3;26 a.m. Friday, nov. 6, 1998, at Burlington Medical Center. Born April 27,1924, in Roseville, Ill., he was the son of Frank and Jessie Edwards Anderson. He married Joyce McBride in 1949. They later were divorced. He then married Patricia Denniston Humes on Aug. 24, 1968, in Burlington. Mr. Anderson was a graduate of Biggsville, Ill., High School and Chicago Technical College. He was World War Ii Army Air Corps pilot and later served as an officer in the National Guard and US Army Reserves. He worked for Bennett and Dooley Furniture, then Iowa Army Ammunition Plant in Middletown from 1966 until retirement in 1980. He was a member of Oak Street Baptist Church of Burlington. Survivors include his wife; one son, C. Michael Anderson of Alexis, Ill.;one daughter, Janet Bush of Arkansas; one stepson, Michael Humes of Redmond, Wash.; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one brother, F. Dale Anderson of Stronghurst, Ill.; one sister, Martha Albaugh of Placentia, Calif.; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will begin after 8 a.m. Monday in Lunning Chapel. where the family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. The funeral for Mr. Anderson will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in Lunning Chapel, with the Rev. Ron Presley officiating. Burial with military rites conducted by VFW Post No. 9162 will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery. Memorials have been established for the American Cancer Society and American Lung Association.
