Obituary
For the second time in 12 days, death has struck the George Andersen family, 302 E. Washington. On March 11, Gary Andersen, 23, died in Iowa City where he was a University of Iowa senior.
Services were held March 13 in Burlington.
Thursday, his sister, 31-year-old Karen E. Andersen, died; she was dead on arrival at Jefferson County hospital and the Jefferson county medical examiner said that death was caused by an accidental overdose of sleeping pills.
Karen E. Andersen was born Sept. 12, 1940, at Fairfield, the daughter of George and Selma Johnson Andersen. She graduated from Fairfield high school in 1958 and was a member of First Lutheran church.
Surviving: The parents and a sister, Mrs. Nancy McShane, Riverside, Calif.
Funeral: Weston Behner funeral home at 10 a.m. Saturday; Rev. Dean W. Berg; Aspen Grove cemetery at Burlington.
