Harlan C. Fletcher, 63, Hwy 99, died in Burlington Memorial hospital Thursday, June 25. He was the son of Clark E. and Mamie Cherryholmes Fletcher, and was born Oct. 19, 1906, at Crawfordsville. He married Lucy Hanft at Muscatine on Aug. 11, 1929. Mr. Fletcher was owner-operator of Fletcher's Diner. he was a member of Asbury United Methodist church and of the U.S. Trotting Assn. Surviving: The wife; one son, Allen Fletcher, Burlington; two daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Dean, Mediapolis, and Linda Fletcher, at home; two brothers, Richard Fletcher, Morning Sun, and Knowlton Fletcher, Wapello; a half-sister, Romelle Dallmeyer, Columbus Junction; and six grandchildren. Funeral: Elliott - Lunning Chapel at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Rev. Jerry Richards; Aspen Grove cemetery.
