Mr. William Guy Flaar, 61 of 1008 S. Twelfth, died Monday at 4:30 a.m. at his home. A native of Mediapolis, he was born Sept. 17, 1901, the son of Henry and Anna Guy Flaar. on Feb. 14, 1925, he was married to Esther Johnson in Galesburg, Ill. He had lived in Burlington 33 years. He had owned and operated a filling station for 27 years and sold it in 1957. Since that time, he had worked at the Iowa Ordnance Plant. He was a member of the Messiah Lutheran church, Malta Lodge, Grotto, Eagles and UCT. Survivors include his wife, one brother, Ray Flaar of Galesburg: one nephew and one niece. His parents are dead. Services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Prugh's Chapel. burial will be in Aspen Grove.
