Mrs. Nellie Alice Brokaw, 67, of Morning Sun, formerly of 2124 S. Third, died Saturday, Oct. 23, in Burlington Memorial Hospital.
She was born March 12, 1904, in Osceola, the daughter of John and Alice Reynolds Ross. She married Earl Brokaw in Biggsville, Ill., in June 1969. She was a member of the First Methodist Church.
Surviving: the husband, Morning Sun; two daughters, Mrs. Janet Miller, New London, and Mrs. Bonnie Gesling, Moline, Ill,.; one step-daughter, Mrs. John Peasley, Lomax, Ill.; her mother Mrs. Alice Ross, Burlington; two brothers, John Ross, Jr., Burlington and Ivan, Niota, Ill.; two sisters, Mrs. Irene Johnson and Mrs. Margaret Breen, both of Burlington; and seven grandchildren.
Funeral: 2:30 pm Monday, Sheagren funeral home, Rev. Vern Sorenson; Aspen Grove Cemetery.
