Harry Garfield Shaw, 66, Argyle, who was Iowa's youngest soldier at the time of his enlistment in World War I, died in Klein Memorial hospital at 12:50 a.m. Wednesday, after a long illness. He was underage at the time of enlistment and gave a false age in order to be accepted. Mr. Shaw was deputy collector of internal revenue in Burlington for about 25 years, retiring due to ill health about 14 years ago. Mr. Shaw was the brother of Mrs. Martin J. Bruhl of 521 North St. He was the son of John Morgan and Edith Killian Shaw, born April 1, 19902 at Muscatine. He was a member of the VFW post at Keokuk and the National Assn. of Internal Revenue Employes. Surviving: Daughter Mrs. Patricia Feldman, 214 S. Garfield; sister Mrs. Dorothy Bruhl; also one grandson. Services: Prugh Chapel, Friday, 3:30 p.m. Dr. Olin A. Lewis, Aspen Grove cemetery.
