Mildred Faulkner, 73, of Burlington, died at 1:30 a.m. Friday, Sept. 1, 2000, at Trinity Medical Center in Rock Island, Ill. Born Aug. 18, 1927, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of George Robert and Grace Beatrice Cole Bogan. Mrs. Faulkner was a caretaker at Hope Haven. She was of the Catholic faith. She enjoyed reading, shopping, and family. Survivors include two daughters, Jean Sprattling-Gordon of Burlington, and Joen A. Faulkner of Springfield, Mo.; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. Monday at Prugh's Chapel. The graveside committal service for Mrs. Faulkner will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Aspen Grove Cemetery, with the Rev. Lawrence Manson officiating.
