Obituary

Ralph Otto Ewinger, 81, 2014 Highland Ave., died Tuesday, Jan. 26, at 12:25 p.m. at St. Francis hospital, where he was admitted Nov. 26, 1970. He was born May 9, 1889, in Burlington, the son of William and Matilda Strobrn Ewinger, and married Estella Bresser in Burlington, Sept. 10, 1913. A member of the Zion Church of Christ, Mr. Ewinger also belonged to the Carthage Lake club, United Commercial Travelers and was past honorary state president of the Izaac Walton League. Survivors: The wife; a son, Roger Ewinger, New London; a daughter, Mrs. Van Bingham, Cosmopolis, Wash.; six grandchildren; a brother, William Ewinger, Burlington; a sister, Mrs. Mathilda Brooks, Racine, Wis.Funeral: Saturday, 2 p.m., Prugh's chapel; Rev. David Michael; Aspen Grove cemetery. A memorial fund has been established.
