James Raymond Evans, 67, of Elm View Care Center, Burlington, died at 1:42 p.m. Tuesday, April 23, 1996, at Burlington Medical Center. Born March15, 1929 in Burlington, he was the son of Richard and Fern Atherton Evans. He was of the Methodist faith. He is survived by one cousin, Malcom Evans. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Prugh's Chapel. A graveside committal service for Mr. Evans will be 11 a.m. Thursday in Aspen Grove Cemetery, with Chaplain SHirley Bliven officiating.
