Jose Alfredo Estrada, 53, of Burlington died at 6:32 a.m. Sunday, May 27, 2007 at Great River Medical Center in West Burlington, Iowa.Born March 2, 1954, in San Benito, Texas, he was the son of Antonio and Santos Suniza Estrada. On May 30, 1981, he married Debra S. Dobbs in Houston, Texas. He worked for the city of Burlington sanitation department for the past 28 years. He was of the Catholic faith. He enjoyed working and assisting his family. Survivors include his wife, Debra of Burlington; four sons, Gabriel Martinez, Fabian Martinez, Jesus Martinez and Joseph Estrada, all of Burlington; three daughters, Adela Martinez, Shirmain Estrada and Gabrielle Estrada all of Burlington; 16 grandchildren; his mother of Pasadena, Texas; four brothers, Ray Estrada of Pasadena, Chris Estrada and Danny Estrada of Clute, Texas, and Tony Estrada of Bay City, Texas; five sisters, Lydia Tabares and Delia Castillo, both of Pasadena, Rosita Perez and Cruzita Ortega, both of Houston, and Juanita Castillo of El Campo, Texas; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, one son and one granddaughter. Pastor Ron Jewett will officiate, with burial in Aspen Grove Cemetery. A memorial has been established in his memory.
