Services for Philip Ernest (Ernst) 13, of 1405 Division, who accidently hanged himself at his home Wednesday night will be at First Presbyterian church at 2 p.m. Saturday. The Rev. Roscoe Wolvington will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park cemetery. He was born OCt. 21, 1947, in Burlington, the son of Claude and Viola Spencer Ernst. An eighth grade student at Horace mann junior high, he was a member of First Presbyterian church and its Youth Fellowship and Boy Scouts. He received honor awards two years from Monmouth college and from the Piano Teachers Guild Auditions. Surviving are his parents; one sister, Kay, 9, his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. William Spencer, Burlington, and Mrs. Irma Ernst, Warsaw, Ill.; several uncles and aunts. A memorial has been established at First Presbyterian.
