Janet F. Enburg, 88, of Danville died Wednesday, May 9,2007, at Danville Care Center in Danville. Born June 25,1918, in Burlington, she was the daughter of William and Flora Bischoff Frudeger. On Dec. 20, 1941, she married Jack T. Enburg. He died in 1978. She taught kindergarten in Burlington from 1939 to 1941. She retired in 1983 as secretary for Mason Hanger-Silas Mason Co. She was a 1935 graduate of Burlington High School. She graduated in 1937 from Burlington Junior College and in 1939 from Iowa State Teachers College with a degree in education. She was a member of Danville Methodist Church. She was a member of Kappa Delta Pi honorary society in education, Pi Sigma Phi Social Sorority, charter member of the Burlington Chapter of National Secretaries Association and PEO Chapter EV. She served on the Danville Library Board and was secretary for the Ventura Villa Board of Directors. She was a member of the Entre Nous Club. Survivors include three nephews, Stephen McGrath of Swan Valley, Idaho, Mark McGrath of Oskaloosa and James McGrath of Keosauqua. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, one sister and one niece. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Elliott Chapel in New London. The graveside service for Mrs. Enburg will be at 3 p.m. Friday in Aspen Grove Cemetery with the Rev. Robert Patton officiating. A memorial has been established for Danville Methodist Church.
