Mrs. Martha Jean Marty F. Alltop, 61, of Rural Route 1, Carmen, IL, died at 12:25 a.m. Wednesday, April 18, 1990, at Burlington Medical Center.
Born August 7, 1928, in Canton, IL she was the daughter of Marion and Mildred Locher Baughman. She married Robert Alltop on December 30, 1950, in Princeville, IL.
She was a homemaker. She attended Arizona State College for three years. She was a member of the United Methodist Church, Gladstone, IL served on the Burlington Medical Center Auxiliary Board and was a buyer for the BMC Gift Shop. She also served on the YWCA D.O.V.E. Committee for battered women.
Surviving are her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Carol (Willie) Peugh, Carmen, IL and Mrs. Lynn (Steve) Coffin, Burlington; one son, Michael Robert Alltop, Bloomington, IN; one brother, Donald R. Baughman, Princeville, IL; her mother of Princeville; and four grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at the Lunning Chapel, Burlington, with the Rev. William Morse officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
A memorial has been established for the American Cancer Society.
