Obituary
Wilma Dorothy Eland, 76, of 1510 Smith St., died Sunday, May 24, in the Klein unit of Burlington Medical Center. Born Aug. 22, 1910, in Burlington, she was the daughter of Charles and Hattie Johnson Moehn. On April 2, 1934, at Galesburg. Ill., she married Hurley Bamford Eland. He died Jan. 11, 1960. Mrs. Eland worked at the Iowa Army Ammunition Plant; Brown, Lynch and Scott; Helen's Shop; and Montgomery Ward Co. She was a Lutheran and a member of the Burlington Police Auxiliary. Surviving are two sons, David Eland, Lomax, Ill., and Don Eland, Burlington,; one sister, Mrs. Delores Butler, Burlington, four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at Prugh's Chapel. Services for Mrs. Eland will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Prugh's Chapel with the Rev. Richard Gilbert officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
