Archie Earl Eaton, 80, died at his home at 1307 S. 14th at 4:30 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 22. He was born June 29, 1901, at Gladstone, Ill., to William and Mayme Keener Eaton. He married Leona Clark May 11, 1930, in Burlington. He was a retired supervisor of boilers at the Iowa Army Ammunition Plant and was a member of the United Methodist Church, Masonic, Eagles, and moose lodges and OES. Surviving: The wife; two sons, James, Virginia Beach, Va., and Robert, Burlington; three daughters, Sandra Mack, Newton, Genny Kalb, West Burlington, and Donna Richardson, Burlington; two sisters, Ava Heinzel, LaVerne, Calif., and Ethel Eaton, Burlington; 12 grand children; and six great grand children. Funeral: 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Prugh's Chapel.; Aspen Grove Cemetery, Masonic rites: Prugh's Chapel, 7:30 p.m. Tuesday. A memorial has been established for the Shriners Crippled Children's Fund.
