Dorothy Mildred Eastin, 76, of Roswell, GA, formerly of Burlington, died Friday, September 26, 2008, in Roswell. Born November 1, 1931, in Burlington, she was the daughter of Vernon P. and Meryle Helton Wagner. Mrs. Eastin worked at First National Bank of Burlington for 13 years, before retiring in 1972. In 1970, while at First National Bank, she became the first female trust officer in the bank's history. She was a graduate of Burlington High School. She was a talented decorator, floral arranger, and an avid reader. Survivors include her husband, L. Raymond Eastin of Roswell; two sons, Marty Eastin of Roswell, and Scott Eastin of West Des Moines; one daughter, Jan Bergman of Burlington; eight grandchildren; nieces; nephews; and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents. Visitation with family will be from 1 to 2 p.m. June 13, 2009, at Prugh Funeral Service. The memorial for Mrs. Eastin will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 13, 2009, at Prugh Funeral Service. Burial of ashes will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery, with the Rev. Randy Langner officiating. Memorials have been established for the Alzheimer's Association and U.S. Bank of Burlington.
