William S. Allen, 1846 Sunnyside Ave., died Thursday, July 2, at Methodist Hospiatal in Rochester, Minn. He wa 83. Mr. Allen was born on Feb. 7, 1904 in Quincy, IL. The son of William S. and Lucetta Martin Allen. He married Loretta C. Conklin on July 5, 1942, in Chicago. He was a former business executive, lecturer and writer. For several years he contributed and occassional column to The Hawk Eye. Mr. Allen was also a member of the Masons and the First Congregational Church.
surviving are his wife, one sister, Mrs. edith Kolkman of Naperville, Il, nieces nad nephews.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Prughs Chapel with the Rev. William Trump Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
FAmily will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
A memorial has been established for the Burlington Prblic Library.
