Gladys Allen, 69, of 708 N. Gear Ave West Burlington, died at 5:06 a.m. Wednesday, Aug 9, 1995, at Burlington Medical Center.
Born July 15, 1926 in Burlington, she was the daughter of Orval C. and Irene Bopp Thrasher. She married James T "Tim" Allen on Sept. 16, 1944, in Burlington.
Mrs. Allen was a homemaker and had worked at IRC and Winegard Antenna Company.
She was of the Methodist faith.
Survivors include her husband; one son, Timothy J Allen of West Burlington; one daughter, Judith A Franke of Racine, WI; six grandchildredn; one brother, RIchard Thrasher of Des Moines; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today in Prughs Chapel.
The funeral for Mrs. Allen will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday in Prugh's Chapel with the Rev. Paul Benjamin officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
A memorial has been established for the American Cancer Society.
