Floyd D Allen, 51, of 805 Melrose Court, died 9:15 p.m. Friday, May 6, 1988 at Burlington Medical Center.
Born July 13, 1936 in Wheelwright, KY he was the son of Herbert and Medie Allen. He married Hazel Smith Meyers July 23, 1985, in Burlington.
He was employed with general Electric Co. and was of the Methodist faith.
Surviving are his wife; one son Larry Allen, Brookville, Ohio; four daughters, Linda Gribble, Mollala, Ohio, Brenda Smith, Burlington, and Wendy Allen and Kelli Allen, both of Brookville, Ohio, two stepsons, Troy Smith, Columbus Junction and Anthony Meyers, Burlington; two step-daughters, Tammy Queen and Dora Meyers, both of Burlington; his mother, Wise, VA; six brothers, Cecil Allen, Los Angeles, CA, JR Allen, Des Moines, Lee Allen, IN and Kenneth Allen Athleen Allen and Ernie Allen, all of Wise, VA; one sister, Gladys Allen, OH; 12 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Lunning Chapel.
The service for Mr. Allen will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Lunning Chapel with the Rev. Jean Mueller officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
A memorial has been established for Dr. A.J.' Cancer Research Fund.
