Jane Ellen Dittner Wilson, 63, of Burlington died Saturday, March 12, 2016 at her home.
Born November 18, 1952 in Burlington she was the daughter of Kenneth Frederick & Janet Caroline Gerdom Dittner. She married Kenneth Wilson February 24, 1973 in Burlington. They later divorced.
Jane was a 1971 graduate of Burlington High School.
Jane was an abstractor for 35 years employed with her father and later with Jack Carspecken and Bill Price in Des Moines County.
Jane grew up as a member of the First United Church of Christ.
She was a pianist and organist for 16 years at various churches in Burlington. She was a member of Altrusa, U.C.T., Board of Planned Parenthood and secretary of Burlington Council of Churches. Jane loved her family and friends, her churches and visiting the sick and shut-ins. She was very proud of playing the 3 manual Moehler pipe organ at First United Church of Christ. When she played services she played for praising God first and foremost. She also loved writing books, Christian poetry and making cards. She was a member of the NF2 Crew and Zoobies which are world-wide support groups for NF2, Neurofibromatosis Type 2.
Survivors include one daughter, Heidi E. Wilson, one granddaughter, Jasmine M. Beam, one grandson, Jason M. Beam Jr. all of Atkinson, IL, and one nephew, Darrin Dittner of Burlington.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, David L. Dittner, one granddaughter, Justine Melinda Beam and good friend Rev. Duane Cavins.
The funeral for Jane Wilson will be at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at the First United Church of Christ with Pastor JudyAnn Morse officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the church.
Memorials have been established for the First United Church of Christ and Advocure NF2.org
