Kenneth E. Dilsaver, 83, of Altoona, Pennsylvania, formerly of Burlington, died at 7:37 a.m. Monday, August 6, 2007, at ARHS Altoona Hospital Campus. Born September 18, 1923, in Davenport, Iowa, he was the son of Charles and Dorothy Struck Dilsaver. On March 25, 1951, he married mogene M. Easton in Bethany, Missouri. She died February 11, 1988. Mrs. Dilsaver worked for Sylvania Electric from the 1950s through his retirement in 1985. He served in the Army in England and France during the D-Day Invasion of World War II. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Altoona. He enjoyed volunteering with Meals on Wheels. Survivors include two sons, Dalend Dilsaver of Sagaponack, New Your, and Alan Dilsaver of Easton, Pennsylvania; three grandchildren; one brother, Arthur Dilsaver of Burlington; one sister, Gladys of West Burlington; nieces and nephews. Besides his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters. Rev. Charles Downing will officiate, with private family burial in Aspen Grove Cemetery. The Burlington Area Veterans Honor Guard will conduct the military rites. A memorial has been established for First Uni6ted Methodist Church in Altoona.
