Ethel Louise Alderman, 87, of Burlington, died at 9 p.m. Friday, June 18, 1999, at her home. Born September 30, 1911 in Biggsville, Ill., she was the daughter of Victor and Olivia Peterson Nollen. On April 26, 1930, she married Darwin Walker. He preceded her in death. She then married Harry Alderman on July 17,1961. He preceded her in death. Mrs. Alderman was a homemaker. She lived most of her life in Burlington. She was of the Christian faith. Survivors include one daughter, Linda Dutton of Burlington; two sons, Ronald Walker of Burlington, and Raymond Walker of Phoenix; five granddaughters; two step-grandsons; four great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mabel Grupe of Burlington. Besides her husbands, she was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, and one grandson. Visitation will begin after noon Monday in Sheagren Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. The graveside service for Mrs. Alderman will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Aspen Grove Cemetery, with the Rev. David Rogula officiating.
