Victor A. Adolphson, 89, of 1520 Smith, died at 6:40 p.m. Monday. Feb 16, in Burlington Medical Center.
He was born June 9, 1886, in Burlington, the son of Peter and Ida Larson Adolphson. Nov.24, 1908, in Burlington, he married Irene D. Stroh.
He was a retired machinist, having worked at Murray Iron Works, the Burlington Railroad Shops and the Iowa Army Ammunition plant. He was a social member of VFW Club 2449, retired member of International Assn. of Machinists, and a member of First United Methodist church, Eagles and Burlington Gymnastic Society.
Surviving: Five sons, Raymond, Lake Wood, Co.; Herbert, St. Peter, MN and Howard, Robert and Richard all of Burlington; 12 grandchildren; and one brother, Gilbert Larson, St. Petersburg, Fl.
Funeral: 10:30 a.m. Friday, Prugh's Chapel, Rev. Leroy Moore; Aspen Grove cemetery.
