Mrs. Maxine Eleanor Dameron, 81, of Burlington, died Tuesday, December 31, 2013, at her home.
Born March 2, 1932 in Burlington, she was the daughter of Robert and Ethel Jones Wendlandt. On September 3, 1953 she married William "Bill" L. Dameron at First United Church of Christ in Burlington. He preceded her in death on October 13, 1993.
Mrs. Dameron was a 1949 graduate of Burlington High School and was a homemaker. She was of the Methodist faith and enjoyed working crossword puzzles, reading and watching sports on television - especially baseball. She was an avid Hawkeye fan of both football and basketball. Mrs. Dameron was devoted to the Des Moines County Humane Society and volunteered at the Veterans Administration.
Survivors include one daughter, Teri Milich of California; one son, Will Dameron of Burlington; four grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren and one sister, Marion Bienick of Wisconsin.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband
