Forrest John Bliss, 56, died Sunday at Mesa, Ariz. Death terminated a prolonged illness.
Bliss was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Bliss, and was born in Burlington on July 30, 1904. He was a retired yard clerk for the Burlington Railroad. He was a member of the First Christian church and of the Brotherhood of Railroad Clerks.
The following cousins survive; Mrs. Alta Dalton, 1008 S. 3rd, with whom Bliss made his home; Edward and Richard Bliss and Mrs. Elen Krach, also of Burlington; Mrs. Edith Blondal, Aurora, Ill.; Limon Bliss, Wapello, and Clarence Bliss, of Kenosha, Wis. A sister died previously.
Services will be Saturday at 1:30 pm at the Giles funeral home with the Rev. LZ Patton officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
