Carl F. Adolphson, 68, of 102 Louisa, died Tuesday evening, May 31, in Burlington Medical Center.
He retired last Oct. 31 as a machinist at the Burlington Northern Railroad shops. The son of Axel and Mary Johnson Adolphson, he was born May 12, 1909, in Burlington, where he married Eleanor Andrews on July 3, 1929. He was a member of Asbury United Methodist church, Eagles lodge, Railroad Veternas, Mainliners, and AARP.
Surviving: The wife; daughter, Nancy Sommerfield, Burlington; two sisters, Elsie Adolphson and Florence Huffman, both of Burlington; and two grandchildren.
Funeral: Private, 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Lunning Chapel, Rev. Floyd Cripps; Aspen Grove cemetery. A memorial to Asbury church has been established at the chapel.
