Robert H. Dahl, Sr., 61, of 2050 Highland, suffered a heart attack while working in Ft. Madison Friday, June 25, and died in Sacred Heart hospital, Ft. Madison. He was the son of Oscar Theodore and Margaret Hopkins Dahl, and was born Jan. 3, 1915, at Whitehall, Wis. He served in the Army in World War II and was a prisoner-of-war in Germany. Mr. Dahl married Doris Luetkehans March 26, 1942, in Burlington. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran church and of Plumbers & Steamfitters Union, Local 212; National Trust for Historical Preservation; and Des Moines County Historical Society. Surviving: The wife; two sons, Robert H. Dahl, Jr., and John Michael Dahl, both of Burlington; and three grandchildren. Funeral: Trinity Lutheran church, 1:30 p.m. Monday, Rev. Gilbert A. Saathoff; Aspen Grove cemetery.
