Pearl Marie Cutkomp, 84, of rural route 1, Wever, died at 9 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 16, 1993, at Burlington Medical Center. Born March 18, 1908 in Des Moines County, she was the daughter of Paul and Christina Lachman. On Oct. 15, 1942, she married Stanley L. Cutkomp in Missouri, He died on Dec. 6, 1988. Mrs. Cutkomp lived and was educated in Butler County, Kansas, from 1908 to 1930, when she returned to Burlington. She was an elementary school teacher for 37 years in Kansas, iowa and Illinois. She was a member of Oak Street Baptist Church and the Ruth Circle. Survivors include one daughter, Marilyn M. Fincher of Fort Madison; three step-sons, Stanley Cutkomp of Japan, Feryl Cutkomp of Rock Island, Ill., and Beryl Cutkomp of Evansville, Ill.; one brother, Gus Lachman of West Burlington; two sisters, Esther Mynatt of Carmen, Ill., and Gladys Whalen of West Burlington; two grandchildren; one great-grandson; several step grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband; one infant son, Paul; and one brother, Art Lachman. Friends may call after 8 a.m. Tuesday at Lunning Chapel. where the family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. The funeral for Mrs. Cutkomp will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Lunning Chapel with the Rev. Gregg Donaldson officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery. A memorial has been established for the Ruth Circle of Oak Street Baptist Church.
