Martha Alma Crowder, 70, of Burlington, died at 8:10 a.m. Tuesday, March 9, 2010, at Burlington Care Center in Burlington. Born February 23, 1940, in Burlington, she was the daughter of John Henry and Veda Alma Powell Crowder. Miss Crowder worked at Hope Haven in various jobs. She was a past participant in Special Olympics. She was a member of Open Bible Church. She enjoyed bowling, crocheting and writing. Survivors include one brother, John Crowder of Farmington; one sister, Barbara Jean Bright of Burlington; nieces and nephews. No visitation is planned. The graveside funeral for Miss Crowder will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Aspen Grove Cemetery in Burlington, with The Rev. Brad Cranston officiating. Prugh Funeral Service in Burlington is in charge of arrangements.
