Obituary

LeRoy "Slim" Adamson, 2020 Madison, a 10-year veteran of the Burlington city plan commission and postmaster of Des Moines Lodge No. 1, AF&AM, was dead on arrival at Memorial hospital here at 8:58 p.m. Saturday, Sept 14. He was 67.
He was born Feb. 11, 1907, in Appanoose county, the son of Elmer and Carrie Temple Adamson. he married Clara Nelson Sept. 4, 1937, in Davenport. Mr. Adamson was a retired telephone installer and repairman.
Mr. Adamson, a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and a 32nd degree Mason, was past junior grand warden of the Grand Lodge of Iowa, Masonic district lecturer, member of Scottish Rite of Davenport, and a past patron of E.C. Blackmar chapter, Order of Eastern Star. He also was active n Circle Square B dance club.
Surviving; The wife; two sons Richard.Mt. Prospect, Il, James, Peoria; sisters Opal Adamson, Sun City Ariz, Ilo Adamson, Belton, Mo; brothers Gale, Pine Top Ar, Dr. Cecil, Cedar Falls, four grandchildren.
Funeral: 2 p.m. Wednesday, Trinity Lutheran Church, Rev G.A. Saathoff, Aspen Grove Cemetery, Masonic services 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Prugh's chapel, Des Moines Lodge No 1 will be open for other Masonic rites at 7 p.m. Tuesday. A memorial has been established at Trinity church, where the body will be taken at 10 a.m. Wednesday.
