Wilma June Cousins, 78, of West Burlington, died at 8:20 p.m. Tuesday, at Great River Medical Center, West Burlington. Born June 23, 1929, in Wyaconda, MO, she was the daughter of William Jackson and Julia Irene Fitzgerald Goben. Mrs. Cousins worked at Emerson Electric, Mt. Pleasant, IA, Contractor Inspector IAAP and a Supervisor at Chittenden Eastman. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Randy & Marvalene Cousins of Burlington; one daughter, Cheryl Cousins of West Burlington; two grandchildren, Heather and Shayla; and one great-granddaughter, Hailey; one sister, Peggy Shupe of Bethany, MO; and one brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and Sheila Goben of Overland Park, Kansas; one daughter -in-law, Judy Cousins of Burlington; several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one sister, Jeanne and one son, Bill. Friends may call at Prugh's Chapel on Saturday from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Sunday at Prugh's Chapel with the family receiving friends from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. The funeral for Mrs. Cousins will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Prugh's Chapel with Chaplain Randy Gearhardt officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery. A memorial has been established for PAW Animal Shelter.
