David Lewis Coulter, 82, of Burlington, died at 1:20 a.m. Saturday, February 11, 2006, at Rosebush Gardens in Burlington. Born November 28, 1923, in Burlington, he was the son of George Kirk and Edythe Lewis Coulter. He married Virginia Helene Holcomb. She died on December 2, 1990. Mr. Coulter worked in furniture sales at Montgomery Wards. He was of the Protestant faith. He served with the Marines during World War II. Survivors include three sons, Kirk Colter of Middletown, Gary Colter of Burlington, and Bruce Colter of Rockford, Illinois; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Besides his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents and one brother. There will be no formal visitation. Chaplain Randy Gearhart will officiate.
