Donna Pauline Colgan, 71, of Burlington, died at 11:14 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 14, 1999, at the Klein Unit of Burlington Medical Center. Born July 3, 1928, in Mount Sterling, Ill., she was the daughter of Earl Williams and Lucile Harper Bennett. On June 1, 1951, she married Gilbert R. Colgan in Mount Vernon, Ill. He died Nov. 1, 1996. Mrs. Colgan worked for Burlington Beauty and Barber Supply for 20 years before retiring. She was of the Protestant faith. She was a member of BMC Auxiliary and Ducks Unlimited. She was a graduate of Brown County High School in Mount Sterling. Survivors include one son, Michael James Colgan of West Burlngton; two daughters, Jane Fleming of Iowa City, and Martha Colgan-Reis of Burlington; and two grandsons. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and one sister. Visitation will begin after 1 p.m. today in Prugh's Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. The graveside committal service for Mrs. Colgan will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Aspen Grove Cemetery, with the Rev. Tyrone Henderson officiating. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the Sunnyside Avenue entrance of Aspen Grove Cemetery at 9:50 a.m. A memorial has been established for the Grotto of St. Mary's Catholic Church in West Burlington.
