Emma Marie Cloud, 98, of Burlington, died at 4:37 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 5, 2000, at Great River Medical Center in West Burlington. Born July 20, 1902, in Henry County, she was the daughter of Gottlieb and Mema Kauffman Hildebrand. On June 26, 1923, she married Orville Cloud in Burlington. He died May 14, 1958. Mrs. Cloud was a self-employed seamstress. She also worked at the Iowa Army Ammunition Plant, Burlington Medical Center, and the county home. She was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church, the Moose and Eagles Auxiliary. Survivors include nieces and nephews. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter, three brothers, and two sisters. Visitation will begin after 8 a.m. Monday at Prugh Funeral Service. The graveside service for Mrs. Cloud will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Aspen Grove Cemetery, with the Rev. Carl Engstrom officiating. A memorial has been established for Bethany Lutheran Church.
