Leland Arthur Weir, 126 S.Seventh St., died at 1:30 a.m.Sunday Sept. 20 in Memorial hospital.Mr. Weir was born on Mar.31, 1928 to John Z. and Clara Gluckenbrug Weir in Rodman.He was married to Delores Waters on Nov. 9, 1946 in Burlington. He had been employed as a welder at J.Case Co.Mr. Weir was a member of Concordia Lutheran church and had served in the Army.Surviving: his wife; one son,Daniel, at home; cne daughter,Mrs. David (Linda) Buechel,Burlington; one grandson; two brothers, Edward and Everett,both ot Belvidere, Ill., two half-sisters, Mrs. Robert(Sharon) Berry, West Burlington, Mrs. James (Donna)Penrod, Burlington; a number f nieces and nephews; and his parents, John Z. Weir Graettinger and Mrs. Clara Augustine, Burlington.Funeral: 2 p.m. Tuesday,Sept. 22 at Prugh's chapel.Burial: Aspen Grove cemetery.
