Obituary
George J. Weimer, an aged and highly respected German resident of the city, died this morning at two o'clock at his home 1725 Wiemer St. He was born Feb. 20, 1848 in Germany and came to the United Staes in 1880, first locating in Iowa City. in 1883 he came to Burlington. He was a member of the German Evangelical church. Surviving are the widow and four children: Mrs. Jacob Hartman, George, Andrew and William Weimer of Burlington. A sister, Mrs. C. Hoppman, lives at Crab Orchard, Neb. and Mrs. N. Duefel and Peter Weimer reside in Burlington. The funeral will be held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the residence.
