Obituary
Andrew Weimer, of 312 Barrett street, died Friday at 5 p.m. in Burlington hospital after a brief illness. He was born in Germany, Jan. 14, 1879, the son of George and Madgalena Duefel Weimer, and came to the US 68 years ago. He had worked as a tailor in Burlington for 50 years, with the Mailandt Clothing company and later with Johnson-Rasmussen company. He was a member of St. Luke Evangelical & Reformed church, the Masonic order including Des Moines lodge and Knights Templar. A sister, Mrs. Lena Hartman of Burlington, 4 nephews and a niece survive. Services will be held Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. in Prugh's chapel. rev. Ernst Press will officiate. Burial will be in Aspen Grove cemetery.
