Mrs. Matilda Margaret Weichelt, 77, 1109 S. Ninth street, died at her home Saturday evening after an illness of seven months. She was born in Burlington, Sept. 19, 1865, the daughter of Casper and Louise Poggemiller Riepe. In July, 1898, she was united in marriage to Charles Weichelt, at Milwaukee, Wis. Mrs. Weichelt for many years operated the Wiechelt confectionery on S. Ninth street. She was confirmed in the Bethany Lutheran church. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Lilah Hueholt and Mrs. Norma Busch of Burlington; a brother, Arthur M. Riepe of Burlington; a sister, Mrs. Mary Caywood of Oak Parl, Ill., and two grandchildren. Funeral services will be held in Prugh's chapel Tuesday at 2 p.m., Rev. C.V. Brown officiating. Interment will be in Aspen Grove cemetery.
