Obituary

John E. Boman, 80, died at 3:10 a.m. Wednesday at his home, 631 McKinley Avenue, after an illness of about six months.
He was born in Vestergotland, Sweden, on Feb. 12, 1863, and came to Burlington 59 years ago. This city has since been his home.
He was married to Ellen Erickson, on Aug. 19, 1892. For many years he was employed at the Burlington route roundhouse but retired 10 years ago.
He attended the Swedish Mission Church of Burlington. When his health permitted he was much in hunting and fishing.
Surviving are his widow; two daughters, Mrs. C.O. Magnuson, Indianapolis, Ind., and Mrs. Harry Janssen of Burlington; one son, Charles Boman of Burlington; three grandchildren and a number of other relatives.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in Pru’h's chapel. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
