Obituary
Frederick W. Wehman, 91, who has been in poor health for about a year, died this morning at his home, 915 Hageman avenue. Mr. Wehman was born in Hanover, Germany, in 1849 and came to this country with the family when two years of age. They entered the United States by way of New Orleans. In 1876 he was united in marriage to Anna Bosmeyer, who survives. To this union seven children were born six of whom survive: Mrs. H. Diedrich, Dr. E.J. Wehman, Mrs. H. Brandenburg, Herbert Wehman, Ethel Wehman, all of Burlington, and Harry Wehman of Moline, Ill. Also surviving are eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, two sisters, one brother, who was a Civil war veteran, and one two-year-old son. The death of Mr. Wehman marks the passing of the last charter member of St. Luke's Evangelical church. Private funeral services will be held in the residence, 915 Hageman avenue, Monday morning at 9 o'clock. The Rev. A.F. Schemmer will officiate. Interment will be in Aspen Grove cemetery. The body will be removed to the residence from Prugh's chapel Monday morning at 8 o'clock.
