Herbert J. Wehman, 90, Burlington Care Center, died there at 5:40 p.m. Tuesday, May 1. Born July 2, 1888, in Burlington, he was the son of Frederick and Anna Wehman. he was a retired assistant professor at the University of Iowa, Iowa City, and Standord (Calif.) university. He was graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia. He wrote "Universal Science," and conducted a research expedition to Barbados. Surviving: Sister, Ethel Wehman, Burlington. Graveside service: 10:30 a.m. Friday, Aspen Grove cemetery, Rev. Dale Hempen. The body is at Prugh's Chapel.
