Obituary
Frank A. Bohn, 64, of Palo Alto, Calif., an employee of the city treasurer’s office for 13 years until retirement in 1948, died at 4:10 pm Wednesday at the home of his brother, Charles E. Bohn, 2133 S. Tenth Street.
A long-time resident of Burlington, Bohn was stricken while visiting here. His illness was brief. He had moved to California in September 1948.
After attending Elliotts Business College, he worked for many years for the Burt-Zaiser company. Bohn was a member of the board of directors of the company when it was dissolved. He then began working in the treasurer’s office.
Bohn was born Oct. 22, 1885, at Oakdale, Wis., the son of Charles C. and Marie Louise Graewin Bohn, and was married to the former Blanche Klein Oct. 21, 1914, in Burlington. He was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church. Malta Lodge of the Masons and was a former member of the Izaak Walton league.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Hill, and a son, Warren Bohn, both of Palo Alto; a brother, Charles E. Bohn, Burlington: 3 grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. His wife, a brother, and 3 sisters are dead.
Funeral services will be held in Prugh’s chapel at a time to be announced later. Burial will be at Aspen Grove Cemetery.
