Mrs. Fred Wolf, 72m lifelong resident of Burlington, passed away in Burlington Hospital late Friday afternoon, after an extended illness. Her home was at 2122 Baumberger Street. Her maiden name was Mary Engling and she was born in Burlington Oct. 17, 1858.
She was united in marriage to Dietrich Bohlken April 5, 1881, her husband passed away on March 25, 1900. She was united in marriage to Fred Wolf Aug. 18, 1910, he also preceded her in death on April 9, 1925.
Mrs. Wolf was a member of Oak Street Baptist church and the church’s Lady’s Aid Society. Surviving are four sons, Fred, Detrick, and Henry Bohlken, of Burlington, and George Bohlken, of Flint, Mich; three daughters, Mrs. WE Leasman, of Madison, Minn.: Mrs. DL Orton and Miss Lena Bohlken of Burlington. Also surviving are eight step-grandchildren and 15 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at Oak Street Baptist church Monday afternoon at 2 o’clock preceded by short services at Burnett-Wallen’s funeral home at 1:30, with burial in Aspen Grove Cemetery. Friends are invited.
