Mrs. Louise Selma Bohlken, 86, of 2201 Baumberger, died at 11:15 am Friday, Oct. 21, at Burlington Medical Center.
The daughter of Charles and Anna Siefken Holze, she was born April 9, 1891, at Burlington. She married Fred Hohlken June 25, 1914, at Burlington. He died in 1944.
She was a founder of the Sunnyside school PTA and was a member of Oak St. Baptist church, Quilters, the deacon board of Service Guild, and King’s Messenger Sunday School.
Surviving: One son, Frederic C., Denver, Colo.; five daughters, Mrs. Virginia(Lawrence) Otto, and Mrs. Dorothy(John) Hult, both of Burlington, Mrs. Eunice (John) Miller, Avon, Ohio, Evelyn Bohlken, and Mrs. Ruth(Orvine) Schaefer, both of Scottsdale, Ariz.; 13 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral: 1:30 pm. Monday, Oak St. Baptist church, Rev. B. Lawrence Sweeney. Burial will be at Aspen Grove Cemetery. The body is at Lunning Chapel.
