Harold W. Wegener, 70, 3012 Columbia, died at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 17, in memorial hospital after a long illness. He was born July 8, 1902, in Latty, Iowa, the son of Max and Amanda Aicher Wegener. He married Gladys McCannon Nov. 22, 1921, in Burlington. She died in 1956. Wegener was a retired set-up-man for JI Case company and belonged to the Mosses lodge. He was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene. Surviving: Two daughters, Mrs. Viola French, Mrs. Marilyn Cheely, both of Burlington; one brother, Herbert, Portland, Ore.; 12 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren. Funeral: 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Prugh's chapel, Rev. Milford A. Schmidt, Aspen Grove cemetery.
