Max Henry Wegener, 72, died at his home, 1751 Weimer street, at 3:40 this morning. He was born in Burlington Oct. 28, 1867, the son of Christ and Dorothea Wegener. He was married May 23, 1889, to Amanda Aicher in Burlington. For many years he farmed near Latty, Ia. He retired from active farming 17 years ago. Surviving are his widow; three children: Herbert of St. Paul, Minn., Mrs. Catherine Walker of Mediapolis, IA., and Harold Wegener of Burlington; 11 grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held in Prugh's chapel Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock. The Rev. J.H. Buescher will officiate. Interment will be in Aspen Grove cemetery. The remains were removed to the residence this afternoon and returned to the chapel Wednesday morning.
