Obituary

Susan Katherine Mulvany Cline, 55 of Mason City lost her long battle with cancer Thursday morning, August 10, 2006, at Muse Norris Hospice in Mason City. She will be terribly missed by all who knew her. Born April 19, 1951 in Cedar Rapids she was the daughter of Gerold and Sarah Luberger Mulvany. Mrs. Cline grew up in Cedar Rapids and in her career lived throughout the United States. On July 18, 1977 she married James R. Cline in Park Rapids, Minnesota. A 1969 graduate of Washington High School in Cedar Rapids, Mrs. Cline also received her Bachelor of Science degree in 1973 and her Medical Technologist degree in 1976 from University of Iowa. She had a long career in management with Cargill Incorporated and with Grain Millers. Mrs. Cline was a tireless worker and a most loving human being. She was an avid gardener, birdwatcher, fisherwoman, pet lover and reader. She especially loved fishing at her family's cabin near Park Rapids, Minnesota. Survivors include her loving husband, James R. Cline of Mason City; daughter, Amy Williamson and her husband Michael Williamson of Olathe, Kansas; her mother and step father Sarah and Norbert Sedlak of Cedar Rapids; three sisters, Patricia Heaton of Pensacola, Florida, Sandra Baugh of Salt Lake City, Utah and Denise Kennedy of Cedar Rapids; and many nieces, nephews and in-laws. Her father, Gerold Mulvany; and grandparents, Balcom and Katherine Luberger preceded her in death. Memorials have been established for Hospice of North Iowa, 232 Second St., Mason City, IA 50401 or any Humane Society.
